Meet Terri – Your Las Vegas Wedding Officiant

Terri Wengjen, Las Vegas Wedding OfficiantAs a wife, mother, and now grandmother, my life has been full of wonderful experiences. I have flown the beautiful skies as a helicopter pilot, and I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people during my career in Customer Service and Operations. As a business executive, I have had the opportunity to work with many talented people who taught me so much. All of these experiences have given me the opportunity to follow my passion as a Las Vegas wedding officiant. I believe it is an honor and privilege to be part of one of the most important days in a couple’s life.

What inspired me to become a Wedding Officiant and plan weddings?

My husband Richard and I had a destination wedding in Las Vegas while living in Chicago. Like many couples, we were busy with the logistics of a destination wedding, and we did not give much thought to the actual ceremony. Rich and I wrote our own vows, but our wedding officiant did not take the time to listen before the ceremony and it felt rushed and impersonal.

This inspired me to become a celebrant and help other couples create a memorable experience that is truly their own.

Why am I different?

I am passionate about capturing your unique love story. The two of you are on a journey that is personal. Although I am a minister/reverend, your ceremony can be religious or non-religious. You can include touching moments from your relationship in your customized ceremony. Your vows should also reflect your special commitment to each other. She is perfect but maybe she would ‘vow’ to take out the garbage without being asked. Your date nights are the best part of your week but what if he ‘vowed’ to watch your favorite sports team with you? I will go the extra mile to ensure your ceremony is exactly as you want it.

The couples I meet inspire me with their love stories and I truly enjoy capturing their feelings for each other. The meaningful, heartfelt, and fun ceremony will keep your guests engaged for the time we spend together.

As a romantic at heart, I believe all love is special. I have taken the time to educate myself to understand the unique needs and concerns of the LGBT community and am Gay Wedding Institute Certified.

As a proud Board member of the Las Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce and a Certified Wedding Planner, qualified by the Association of Bridal Consultants, I support the other dedicated wedding professionals in Las Vegas. Please ask me for referrals to trusted vendors.

It would be an honor and a privilege to be a small part of your journey as you pledge your love and hearts to each other. I am anxious to hear the details of your love story. I love talking about weddings!

Meet John – Your Las Vegas Wedding Officiant

I am a Providence, Rhode Island native and my lovely wife, Susan and I married over 43 years ago. As a Management Consultant in the Investment Banking Industry, I love working with people. I also love trying new things, and some people would call me a ‘foodie.’ Sue and I have been to so many restaurants in Las Vegas that we have lost count. What a wonderful place to live.

What inspired me to become a Wedding Officiant

Why did I become a Wedding Officiant?  My long marriage has led me to want to create a meaningful, memorable experience for other couples. Las Vegas is an exciting town, and the options for your wedding ceremony are endless. The location can be as unique as the two of you and include sentiment and fun. Love is one of the greatest pleasures in life, and when two people find each other, it is truly beautiful. Let’s celebrate. I support marriage equality and happily marry all couples.

Why am I different?

Your wedding ceremony is important to me and my goal is to make it a memorable experience. I am very excited to help you start your journey toward ‘happily ever after.’ I can also give you great restaurant recommendations!
